Fantôme

Fantôme is a special development of the Robert Juliat 2.5 kW zoom profile, much favoured by lighting designers in the fields of theatre and opera for its high quality luminance, superb optics and quiet running.

Fantome logoTo this brilliant luminaire, WWG have brought those automated features normally only associated with proprietary moving lights, to create a 'special' par excellence. The original development for this new hybrid was encouraged by The Royal Opera House, London and has been taken further in conjunction with the Kammerspiele in Munich and the Het Musiktheater in Amsterdam.

Perhaps the most visible of these added dynamic features is WWG's twin axis, orbital, image positioning system which allows lighting designers to programme the beam to appear anywhere within a full global excursion, while always maintaining beam-field symmetry. Other automated attributes are: Zoom/Focus, Full Framing, Iris, Gobo, Dimming, Frost/Effect and scrolling Colour.

FantomeOf particular interest is WWG’s unique, four blade, full-framing system: This system allows each of the 4 straight framing blades to fully occlude the light beam without any conflict between them. Each blade has a full 180º of rotation which, combined with full occlusion, allows any possible cut to be achieved. (See also specification.)

Fantôme will fulfil the roles of both Accent light and Keylight or as a source of Special Effects, with equal aplomb. And Fantôme aims to be seen, but not heard.
