Pixeon and Color Stream are Double Winners at Lightfair 2003, May 2003

New York - Pixeon Inc., the Austin based LED effects company, was the recipient of two major awards at this year's Lightfair show in New York.

First, at the New Product Showcase & Awards Presentation, Color StreamT was presented with the distinguished Roeder Award. This special award is made at the judges' discretion for products that "truly meet and exceed the current challenges of the twenty-first century." Pixeon accepted the award underneath a specially designed Color Stream sculpture, by lighting designer Marsha Stern, that was installed over the stage.

Later, Pixeon was given an award by the judges for best booth design.

Nils Thorjussen, President of Pixeon, commented "We're very excited to have been the recipient of two awards in one day. These awards clearly demonstrate the potential of Color Stream as a product for the 21st century. It is always a great honour for a product to be critically acclaimed by one's peers in the industry in this way, apart from anything else the people concerned with making these decisions are the very same guys who will be using and specifying the product on a day to day basis so it bodes well for the future."

Last September Color Stream also received a prestigious award for product innovation at the PLASA show in London. Color Stream was originally an innovation from WWG, the British based lighting design partnership.
