Royal Caribbean's Latest Cruise Ship Sets Sail

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's newest ship today sailed out of the Kvaerner shipyard in Turku, Finland for its Atlantic crossing to her home port of Miami, Florida where she will be christened Voyager of the Seas by Olympic skating star, Katarina Witt.

Witt's selection as Godmother of the ship apparently has a lot to do with the fact that Voyager is the first cruise liner ever to have an ice rink on board, though recent press exposure which reveals a warmer side to the ice maiden can't be completely discounted. Yes, we kid you not, this ship really does have its own ice rink!

Has WWG glazed over? Well, we're not averse to lighting ice shows, but we really wanted to grab your attention for something else on board Voyager. What we want you to know is that this ship also has the most fantastic nightclub ever to sail the seas. Called The Vault, this venue occupies a two deck high space deep in the ship's interior and features the most technically advanced entertainment system, designed by WWG.
