Catalyst Wins Entech Award, February 2002
Catalyst™, a WWG development for High End Systems, won the ‘Best AV Product’ award at the Entech 2002 Awards, held on 5th February this year in Sydney, Australia. This is the fifth major award for this radically innovative product that combines the power of digital media with the dynamism of automated effects lighting.

Catalyst also recently received a top honour for lighting products at the 10th Anniversary of the EDDY Awards in New York, hosted by Entertainment Design magazine.

Here's what the editors said about Catalyst:

"The worlds of lighting design and projection design merge in this intriguing system co-developed by High End Systems and Wynne Willson Gottelier. Designed to provide real-time control of every aspect of an image directly from a lighting console, the Catalyst features a periscopic, orbital transmission device that can adapt to the front of any large-venue, three-chip DLP projector, plus a software package containing a variety of moving and still imagery and gobos. Lighting Designers for concerts, sporting events and other large-scale projects are drooling over this one."

Other awards achieved by Catalyst since its debut last September are: Two top PLASA awards for Design Excellence and Technical Innovation, and Product of the Year for Lighting for Entertainment at LDI 2001.

Catalyst is now making its touring debut with Luis Miguel (LD Fabion
Boggino), and is also causing a stir (via LD Patrick Dierson) in the New York Knicks and New York Rangers season games.
